The council will receive annual budget presentations from all city departments, covering what they accomplished this year and their priorities for 2021-22. Department heads from police, fire, public works, and other major services will present their reports. This is the yearly opportunity for residents to hear directly from city staff about service levels and spending plans.

City staff will update the council on COVID-19 response efforts and plans to reopen City Hall to the public on June 21. The presentation covers safety protocols and which city services will remain essential. This continues the council's regular COVID updates, which have been a frequent agenda item throughout the pandemic.

One item on project health and safety data reporting was withdrawn from the agenda before the meeting. The proposal would have required staff to review all approved development projects using current health and safety research.
